Pastor Garid was born and raised in Southern California where he graduated from Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach and completed a basketball scholarship with a business degree from Vanguard University.

Upon moving back from Hawaii, where he attended Bible College and served for a summer at Calvary Chapel Hilo, Garid was asked to start a college Bible study on Friday nights at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. This study later became known as theHOUSE.

In addition to theHOUSE, Garid was later asked to teach the study in the main auditorium on Monday nights. MONDAY NIGHTS LIVE is broadcast live on the radio and on the net. Garid currently teaches both studies.
